    Historically, the sequences of postures known as Surya Namaskar (Sun Salutations) may have been used to greet the Sun, honoring it's light and energy. While there is no "right" way to perform Surya Namaskar, in this workshop you will learn the fundamentals and build a strong foundation for a meditative, awareness-based practice in this slow, safe, and comprehensive environment. This will be a progressive workshop, exploring the key aspects of Surya Namaskar through means of the breath (pranayama), posture (asana), mantra (chanting), and focal point (dristhi).

  2. Yoga For Runners with Emily

    Yoga can help you run! This new workshop is designed to keep you running by loosening tight spots, strengthening weak spots, reducing injury risk and making you a better runner. Open to all levels of runners with or without yoga experience. A vinyasa-style yoga practice designed as a pre-run warm-up will start us off - then we will move seamlessly into yoga poses targeting muscle groups specific to running. We will incorporate muscle release exercises along with guided meditation and breath work - pranayama. Join Emily in creating a mind/body connection with running using yoga as the guiding element to enhance your running experience.

  3. Gong Bath on the New Moon Workshop

    The sound of the gong has been used for healing, relaxation and transformation for hundreds of years. The cosmic nature of the sound leads the mind to rest from everyday life into a more soulful and expanded experience where we can connect to our own spirit beyond the realm of thought. Arnbjörg Kristin Konradsdottir will play two gongs during the event. She has traveled and played in various events, festivals, yoga classes, medicine wheels for years in her home country, Iceland. She teaches regular yoga classes back home to youth and adults (on land and in water) and enjoys sharing and teaching the art of playing the gong.
